He was born in Şabanözü, Çankırı. He graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine and completed his specialty training in Orthopedics and Traumatology Department at the Faculty of Medicine of Çukurova University. He started to work as an orthopedist in the same clinic and completed his academic career there.
He worked at the French Pasteur Hospital in Istanbul, the Orthopedic Hospital in Colombia University in New York/United States and the University Hospital in Freiburg/Germany in the field of hand surgery. He studied Microsurgery in Edinburgh/Scotland. He participated in the Ilizarov Practice Training in Kurgan/Russia.
Prof.Dr. Bayram, who has held the presidency of Orthopedics and Traumatology Department of Çukurova University Faculty of Medicine for a long time, has started the application of suturing the severed arms and fingers in Adana by establishing the Hand Surgery Science Branch affiliated to the department. He was the founder of the Diabetic Foot Committee, which cooperated with the departments concerned with diabetes at the Faculty of Medicine, and conducted orthopedic treatments for patients with diabetic foot as the chairman of the board.
He held the presidency of Adana Medical Chamber in 1994-1996 period and Turkish Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery Association in 2008-2010 period. He also presided The 8th National Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery Congress and the 20th National Orthopedics and Traumatology Congress.
He focused his studies on Hand Surgery, Microsurgery, Foot Surgery, Shoulder and Elbow Surgery and Pediatric Orthopedics.
